Pepperdine university wedding in Malibu California. It was a beautiful windy wedding day which allowed for epic wedding photos. Pepperdine has a wedding chapel on campus. Pepperdine university was the perfect location for this wedding as the bride was a graduate of Pepperdine. The bride was able to get ready for her wedding at one of their hotel rooms. The bride and groom opted for a first look before the ceremony. The wedding chapel had gorgeous color stained glass which allowed beautiful light to shine thru. Following the ceremony, we headed to a romantic wedding reception at Sunset Restaurant in Malibu. We were fortunate enough to have a beautiful beach sunset where we were able to get very artistic and fun bride and groom photos. The bride and groom chose to have a very small intimate wedding with just their closest friends and family. Sunset Restaurant was the perfect wedding venue for it. The bride and groom met while taking a ukulele class, which came as no surprise that they would entertain their guests with a ukulele performance. Wedding guests that attended were from all over the world, many of them had traveled from China just to be a part of the emotional and beautiful wedding.
Que & Eli got engaged, they decided to have their destination wedding in California at the historic Point Vicente Lighthouse. Point Vicente Lighthouse sits on a cliff in Rancho Palos Verdes. It has beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean. Weddings at Point Vicente are spectacular. This wedding began with a traditional chinese tea ceremony. It was such an experience to be able to sense all of the emotions of this wedding. The bride and father of the bride just could resist but to break out in tears as dad was getting ready to walk his daughter down the isle. As a wedding photographer who doesn’t get emotional all too often, this was one of those moments that was definitely the exception. After the ceremony, the wedding was moved over cocktail hour followed by the wedding reception. All wedding favors were made the bride and groom. There was so much detail at this wedding with a lot of DIY projects. For those that love the beach but not so much the sand, this wedding venue is perfect. You have the beautiful ocean views without the sand getting into everything. The sunsets are observed so beautifully from this location. Certainly a very romantic wedding under the stars.
